Permanent and Semi-Permanent makeup creates a wound to the skin so you need to treat it as such and keep it clean and prevent excessive stress to the healing area.
While you are healing, you will experience colour change, drying, and flaking. Healing time is between 7 and 10 days, typically. Touch ups should be scheduled no sooner than 6 weeks after the procedure.
Day of Procedure. Wash the area when you get home, before bed, and once in between. Use a fragrance-free soap and thoroughly, but gently, remove all of the blood plasma on the surface your skin. Dry with a clean towel or clean paper towel. Do not apply anything to the tattooed area.
Wash (Days 2-7). Wash the area twice a day (fragrance-free soap) and pat dry with a paper towel. Apply a very thin layer of ointment. Any time you feel tightness or dryness, reapply the ointment. Carry it with you to keep the area from drying out.

- always handle your tattoos with clean, washed hands and dry them with clean towels or paper towels
- call your tattoo artist or doctor if you have any signs of infection or other problems
- if you have hepatitis, HIV or any other autoimmune disorders, you must see a doctor IMMEDIATELY if rash or excessive swelling occurs
You Shouldn't:
- cover your tattoo with sunblock until it's fully healed
- scratch or pick at the tattoo
- go swimming or immerse your tattoo in water for 2 weeks (no saunas, hot tubs or steam rooms as well)
